Moving to UCSD

Yes, I am moving again. This time to UCSD where I am enrolling as a second year PhD student. Actually, my advisor is moving to UCSD and the whole lab goes with him. Though the final choice rests with the student, I was not in a mood to change advisors at this point in life. The prospects of moving to a new city look exciting, however I am definitely going to miss Orange County. I really really liked it here. The chic, urbane, clean and ritzy environs, albeit a little laid back and boring. I grew too comfortable at UC Irvine, and thought of it as home. So, I have to move to a new place and make new friends, which shouldn't be a problem considering my metamorphosis into a social butterfly recently. However, I am still a little sad at leaving behind UCI, which I view as my alma-mater for grad studies. Given a contest between UCSD and UCI, you know where my loyalties lie. I am happy as well, as for Neuroscience, UCSD ranks as No.1 for graduate studies. It is also highly ranked for Cognitive Psycology, Cognitive Science and Computer Science. We shall see .... a clean slate .. ready to be written over again ...
