Harshivl's arrival in Bangalore

Now this was a big event. A very big event.
One of my closest friends coming to Bangalore, infact one of the very few friends that I made and kept from my college days. I had always wanted him to come to Bangalore, to see what I had seen and to experience what I had experienced. Even he had been eager, but due to a 2 year bond with a lousy shit of a company - Patni, he couldn't, notwithstanding a botched test for SAP Labs. But when he finally arrived, he arrived with a bang : Oracle, core development and a huge salary (which by my estimates is around double of what he previously earned).
Professional side apart, we also have had a wild time so far in B'lore : now I go rarely alone to pubs or movies and I have someone to call anytime of the day (that too a local call) and talk for hours on the end. It is strange : this feeling of calm which one gets when being in company of someone who can be completely trusted. And trust in this world, my dear friend, is in short supply.
Those countless hours spent together in frustration in college, hoping for better days and a better world; those things which we discussed and which only we understood; Harshivl's reaction each day as he read on Ayn's philosophy and imbibed it; all that which was good and which we hated as bad : I still remember and cherish. It is said that the friends that you make when fate and luck is not on your side, are the ones you will always keep.
So, here we are : 2 guys of similar mentality (well, almost) , free spirits, deep pockets and amazing minds (for us our minds shall always be amazing) , out to have fun and make most of our lives. Wherever destiny takes me, near or far, I will always be aware that there is a person in this world with whom I can call upon anytime, in any condition, in any tone, and still I'll make perfect sense to him.

It's great to have a friend!
