Got myself a TV

Hmmm...
Imagine living alone in a city where you do not speak the native language, and have no chaddi-buddies. You have nobody to talk to when you are elated or when in the dumps, nobody to share your sorrows or delights, nobody to crib in front of, nobody to worry about. Believe me it can be a real dreary prospect, if you do not have the monk-type personality or are perfectly sane. But, I have accomplished this as well, by living alone in Bangalore for about 1.5 years without TV or flatmates (This speaks volumes about myself).
But I caved in a few weeks back, and finally emptied my pockets and bought myself a flatscreen TV. Specs : 21 inches Sony Wega with 3D woofer and surround sound costing roughly 15k(with taxes etc). Though this means endless movies and entertainment , it also spells doom for my reading habits, as I have barely finished 2-3 pages of "Hitchhiker's guide..." since I bought the darned boob-tube.
Anyways, watching Udaya, Sun TV, Gemini, Ushe and other southie channels late at night kinda compensates, doesn't it ? ;-)
